What we do
EMVAR is an online boutique for the kind of clothes that belong to long, light days: open-stitch crochet tops, gauzy peasant blouses, tiered maxi skirts, printed kimonos, and glass seed-bead necklaces and brass bangles made for stacking.
We keep the collection small on purpose. Six categories, each piece chosen to work with the others, so a single order can become a whole outfit.
How our pieces reach you
We work with specialist clothing and accessory suppliers who make and hold our stock. When you place an order, it is packed and sent by our fulfilment partner, and some orders are dispatched from facilities outside the UK. We tell you this up front because it affects delivery times, and we explain exactly how delivery works on our Shipping & Delivery page.
How we describe things
- Fibres and materials, stated clearly. Every garment page lists its fibre composition, and every jewellery page lists its materials.
- Measurements you can use. Our Size Guide gives body measurements for every size and the length of every necklace.
- Only what we can stand behind. We describe products using facts we can verify, and we never publish reviews we cannot verify.
- Styled imagery. Our photographs are styled editorial images. Colours can look slightly different between screens; if a shade matters, email us and we will describe it.
